IAF Group C Civilian Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Age Restrictions: All positions require applicants to be between the ages of 18 and 25. (The crucial date for determining age limit is the last date of receipt of application).
Age Relaxation:
- Three years for candidates who are members of the OBC.
- 05 years for candidates who fall under the SC/ST category.
- Ten years for candidates who are physically disabled. (Additional 05 years for Physically Handicapped individuals who fall under the SC, ST, or OBC categories)
Educational Qualification:
# Supdt (Store): Essential: Graduate of a recognised university or an institution of equivalent standing. Desirable: Experience managing stores and maintaining accounts in a reputable public or private sector concern.
# Lower Division Clerk (LDC): Passed the 12th Class from a recognised Board. A typing speed of 35 words per minute in English or 30 words per minute in Hindi on a computer (35 words per minute and 30 words per minute correspond to 10500 and 9000 KDPH, respectively, based on an average of five key depressions for each word).
# Civilian Mechanical Transport Driver (Ordinary Grade): Minimum of a matriculation certificate or an equivalent qualification from a recognised board or university; Must possess a current Civil Driver's License for light and heavy vehicles; Must have professional driving ability and a working knowledge of motor mechanisms; Minimum of two years driving experience.
# Cook (Ordinary Grade): Matriculation from a recognised board combined with a certificate or diploma in catering; one year of trade experience
# Carpenter (Skilled): 10th pass from a Board or Institute recognised by the government. Institute of Industrial Training Carpenter's certificate from a recognised institute OR ex-servicemen in the appropriate trade, e.g. Carpenter Rigger.
# Fireman: Matriculation or a qualification of equivalent standing. Must have received firefighting training from a state fire service or a nationally recognised institute of repute.
# Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Essential: Matriculation or equivalence from a recognised Board or University. Desirable: One year of experience working in an organisation or institute as a Watchman, Lascar, Gestetner Operator, or Gardener.
IAF Group C Civilian Recruitment Process :
(a) All applications will be scrutinised for age restrictions, minimum qualifications, supporting documentation, and certifications. Following that, eligible candidates will receive call letters for the written examination.
(b) Eligible candidates will be required to take a written examination. The written examination will be based on the required level of education.
(c) The written examination will consist of the following sections: I General Intelligence and Reasoning (ii) Mathematical Aptitude (iii) General English (iv) General Awareness (depending on the position).
(d) The question-answer sheet will be bilingual in English and Hindi.
(e) A sufficient number of candidates will be shortlisted and invited to participate in skill/physical/practical tests, as appropriate, based on their performance/category in the written test.
(f) Shortlisted candidates are required to bring their original certificates, as well as copies of any annexures attached to their application.
How to Apply for IAF Civilian Group C Recruitment?
Eligible candidates may apply to any of the above-mentioned Air Force Stations, subject to available positions and qualifications. The application in the format specified below (typed in English/Hindi) must reach the concerned Air Force Station within 30 days of the last date of publication of this advertisement in 'Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar'.
(a) All supporting documents for Education Qualification, Age, Technical Qualification, Physically Handicapped, Experience Certificate, and Caste Certificate (issued by competent civil authorities in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates) should be self attested.
(b) When OBC candidates are appointed against their reserved quota, their caste must be included in the Central List of OBCs, as only candidates belonging to castes included in the Central List are eligible for appointment to Central Services. The most recent rules governing the creamy layer in OBCs must be followed. Candidates seeking OBC reservation must submit a certificate certifying that they do not belong to any of the creamy layers.
(c) In the case of ex-servicemen, an application must be accompanied by a self-attested photocopy of their discharge book.
(d) Completed application form in English/Hindi, along with a recent photograph (passport size) duly attested by the applicant. Any other corroborating documentation (self attested), Self-addressed envelope with a Rs. 10/- stamp pasted on it. The address should be written in either English or Hindi. Each position should be applied for separately. On the envelope, applicants should clearly state "APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ———— AND CATEGORY————".
(e) Two photographs the size of a passport (same as fixed on the application form).
