The North Eastern Regional Institute of Water and Land Management (NERIWALM), Tezpur, has issued a job notification for five Consultant (Agriculture/Administration) and five Young Professional (Agriculture/Social Science) positions on a contractual basis. 1. Consultant (Agriculture)
No of posts: 1
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Professionals with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Science and a Master's degree in Agricultural Science with a specialisation in Agronomy/ Agro-Bio Chemistry/ Soil Science/ Irrigation Water Management and a minimum of ten years of post-qualification experience in the field of Water and Land Management. Ph.D. in a related field is desirable.
- Retired government servants with a pay scale of -12 or above and a minimum of five years' experience in water and land management and a maximum age of 65 years would also be considered for the post, in respect of projects, schemes, and programmes.
- The Professional should have strong written and communication skills, as well as proficiency in power point presentation and lecture deliberation. He or she should also have working knowledge of computers and common software packages, as well as proficiency in compiling, editing, and reviewing scientific reports written in the English language.
2. Consultant (Administration)
No of posts: 1
Educational Qualification & Experience:
- Professionals with a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university and at least ten years of post-graduate experience in the field of general administration.
- Retired government employees with a pay matrix level of 08 or above and five years of experience in general administration with a maximum age limit of 65 years are also eligible for this position.
- Experience with policy and programme creation, court cases, disciplinary/vigilance matters, administration/establishment cases, understanding of computer applications; MS Office, analytical presenting abilities with the ability to prepare a well-researched and written report.
3. Young Professional (Agriculture)
No of posts: 2
Educational Qualification & Experience:
# Bachelor’s degree and Master’s Degree in Agricultural Science with specialization in Agronomy/ Agro-Bio Chemistry/ Soil Science/ Irrigation Water Management from a recognized university, good academic record (minimum 55% throughout)
# Working experience in the field of agriculture, working knowledge of GIS software, working knowledge of computers and common software packages (MS WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT etc.)
4. Young Professional (Social Science)
No of posts: 1
Educational Qualification & Experience:
# Master’s Degree in in Sociology/ Social Works/ Statistics/ Geography from a recognized university with good academic record (minimum 55% throughout)
# Working experience in the field of agriculture, working knowledge of GIS software, working knowledge of computers and common software packages (MS WORD, EXCEL, POWER POINT etc.)
Remuneration:
# Consultant (Agriculture): Rs.1,00,000.00 pm (fixed)
# Consultant (Administration): Rs. 70,000.00 pm (fixed)
# Young Professional (Agriculture/Social Science): Rs. 45,000.00 pm (fixed).
Age Limit: Maximum age limit for appointment of Young Professionals shall be 40 years as on closing date of advertisement and that for consultants shall be 64 years as on closing date of advertisement.
