The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has announced the official announcement for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test, 2022, for admission to Class VI for the academic year 2022-23. Students interested in being admitted to Assam's Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas must appear in this JNVST test.

The Government of India established Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in accordance with the 1986 National Policy on Education (JNVs). At the moment, JNVs are found in 27 states and eight union territories. These are co-educational residential schools that are entirely funded and run by the Government of India via an autonomous agency called the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Students Interested in Obtaining Assam JNV Admission


# Up to Class VIII, JNVs use the mother tongue or regional language as the medium of teaching; thereafter, English is used for Mathematics and Science and Hindi is used for Social Science.

# Students enrolled in JNVs sit for the Central Board of Secondary Education's board examinations.

# While education in schools is free, including board and lodging, uniforms, and textbooks, a monthly fee of Rs. 600/- is collected from students in Classes IX to XII for Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi.

# Students belonging to the SC/ST categories, all female students, and students whose family income is below the poverty line (BPL) are exempt.
# For wards of Government employees who are not exempted (Students in classes VI to VIII, all SC/ST & girl students, and wards of BPL families), Vikas Nidhi will be charged at the rate of Rs. 1500/- per month or the actual child education allowance received by the parent per month, whichever is less. VVN, on the other hand, shall not be less than Rs.600/- per month per student.

 

Eligibility Criteria of Assam Navodaya Admission


Geo location: Only the candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been opened are eligible to apply for admission

Age Limit: A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 1st May 2009 and after 30th April 2013 (both dates are inclusive). This will apply to candidates of all categories, including those who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Class (OBC).

Educational Qualification: A candidate appearing for the selection test must be studying in Class-V for the whole of the academic session 2021-22 in a Government/Government aided or other recognized schools or ‘B’ certificate competency course of National Institute of Open Schooling in the same district where he/she is seeking admission.

Candidate who has not been promoted and admitted to Class-V before 15th September, 2021 is not eligible to apply.

No of Attempt/s: No candidate is eligible to appear in the selection test for the second time, under any circumstances.

Rural Quota: A Candidate claiming admission under rural quota must have studied and passed classes III, IV and V from a Govt. / Govt. aided / recognized school spending one full academic session each year in a school located in rural area.

At least 75% of the seats in a district will be filled by candidates selected from rural areas of the district and remaining seats will be filled from the Urban areas of the district.

The selection test will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in all for 100 marks.

JNV Selection Test for admission to Class-VI in JNVs for the academic session 2022-23 will be held in On Saturday, the 30th April, 2022 at 11.30 A.M in one phase for all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

The admit cards will be made available as per date decided by NVS in due course which will be displayed on application portal. The admit cards shall be downloaded free of cost by the candidates/parents before the conduct of JNVST.

Assam JNV Admission Result

 


The result of JNV Selection Test 2022 is expected to be announced by June 2022. Candidates can get the result from the admission portal. The result will also be displayed in the offices of the concerned:

i. Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya
ii. District Education Officer
iii. District Magistrate
iv. Deputy Commissioner, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti of the Region.
v. The website of the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti www.navodaya.gov.in.


The Principal, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya concerned, will also inform the selected candidates through SMS on the registered mobile number followed by a speed post.

The application process for the JNV Selection Test has been streamlined through an online submission approach. Registration is free and accessible via the NVS admission portal at www.navodaya.gov.in and navodaya.gov.in/nvs/en/Admission-JNVST/JNVST-class/. After the results are declared, selected candidates' evidence of domicile, age, and eligibility will be verified according to the established method.

# Select Online Application Form from the drop-down menu.
# Check the box next to Have you read the prospectus? and then click Continue.


# An online application form will open; complete all required fields.


# Upload your documents under the upload document area.


# Select Save & Preview from the menu.


# You will now see a preview of your application; click on the submit your application button to continue.


# Upon successful submission of your application, you will receive a Registration Number and an acknowledgment receipt. Maintain the same for future references.
