Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) Guwahati has published two adverts for the employment of seven Project Technical Officers, Research Associates, Junior Nurses, Data Entry Operators, and Laboratory Assistants. Interested and qualified applicants should apply online.

 

1. Project Technical Officer
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 32000/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: MSc/M.Pharm in Biotechnology/Life Science with a minimum of three years' experience working on a research project or in a related sector.
Desirable: Candidate with two years of experience working in a hospital-based research project and expertise of computer and software-based data entry.

2. Junior Nurse
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 18000/- pm

Educational Qualification: ANM with a high school diploma and five years of experience working in a hospital or recognised institute.​​​​​​​

3. Data Entry Operator-B
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 18000/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: HS (Science) graduate with a one-year computer certificate and five years of job experience.
Desirable:

• Candidate with prior experience working in a hospital setting.
• Candidate should have familiarity with clinical data entry using software.

4.  Field Attendant/ (Multi-Tasking Staff)
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 15800/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: High School passed.
Desirable: Candidate should have working experience in hospital setup.

5. Laboratory Assistant
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 17000/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: HS (Science) passed with DMLT and minimum three year working experience in relevant field.
Desirable:

- The candidate should have prior experience working on research projects that involved collecting samples from patients in a hospital setting.
- Candidate should have experience working in a wet laboratory environment, including performing serological and molecular tests on patient samples.
 

6. Data Entry Operator- A
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 17000/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: HS (Science) passed with minimum 1 year computer certificate course from recognized institute.
Desirable: Candidate should have working experience in hospital setup and software based clinical data entry.

7. Research Associate- III
No of posts: 1

Remuneration: 40000/- pm

Educational Qualification:

Essential: 1st class MSc in Biotechnology with four years of research experience and at least three publications in SCI journals, preferably as first author; or Ph.D. in relevant subject with one year of work experience and at least three publications in SCI journals, preferably as first author.
Desirable:

• The candidate should have sufficient experience working in a hospital setting with patients who suffer from neurological disorders.
• Candidate with a working knowledge of medical terminology, including diagnosis information, risk factors, co-morbidities, and discharge information, as well as familiarity with patient data management.
• The candidate should be familiar with data entry tools such as RedCap and the transfer of information.
